Changes & other tid bits

Work, work, work..........The joys of home improvement projects.

So we started in the kitchen and dining room taking out the tile and redoing the floors with staining the concrete. Since we don't have a basement here in Arizona and our foundation is a cement slab we discovered that our floor didn't have any cracks so we are staining the floor.

I didn't get any pictures of Dennis and his Dad working on the floors in those two rooms due to the fact that I was out and about and I also had to keep the dogs out since the chemical for etching the floors was an acid.

Since one room leads to another and one project leads to another we also decided to take the carpet out of the living room and hallway and put down wood floors.

The guys laying down the new floor in the living room. They did an awesome job! My Father in -law has been a BIG help. He also keeps Dennis going when he wants to put things off.

I will try and get some photos taken and posted this weekend of the completed projects. There is still some final touches that have to be done.

Onto some other little fun updates. Last week Keirstan had some theme days at school and one day it was nerd day. I couldn't resist getting a picture of her. My little nerd...........

Grandpa got to meet Big Daddy our desert tortise. The big guy finally came out of hibernation.


Of course the dogs are right there and being very jealous! They just love Grandpa and think they should get all the attention from him.
