Hope everyone had a very nice and happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. On our way to California on Thursday morning I got to thinking about all that I am thankful for. Here are a few that are at the top of my list:
1) My wonderful husband and kids
2)My home. All the horrible things that are going on with some losing their homes I am so thankful to have mine.
3) My Parents being well and being able to see their children and grandchildren growing up
4)My health, I am feeling better
5) Dennis and I both having our jobs
This past weekend was a great family time together. Just the four of us went to California to Knotts berry farm. We had a great time. We had our dinner at the Knotts berry farm hotel that is where we stayed and they have a beautiful buffet. It was very nice. We ventured into the park after dinner to see the Christmas village and wander through the shops. Then we headed for the beach. My favorite place is the ocean. Even though it was dark out, we still all enjoyed being on the beach listening to the waves.
Friday morning it was off to the park. The kids couldn't wait to get on the rides. They ended up going back after we ate dinner that night and stayed until it closed. Saturday morning same thing they wanted to be first into the park. It was pretty busy on Saturday so we decided to head up the coast to Venice beach. What a culture shock! The beach is famous for street performers and vendors. It was like stepping back in time to the 70's. Hippies! What a blast to just people watch!
After the beach it was back to Knotts for the kids farewell rides. They were there till it closed.
It was a very fun weekend for us to spend time with the kids, now that they are older it is not very often we get to spend that much time with them. It was very fun and nice to spend the time with them. I am so thankful for such great kids that are such nice young adults.
