Well, I survived. I went in and got my procedure over with. I swear though, the last two days was horrible! No food and a lot of bathroom time. So, this morning when we get to the surgery center and Dennis asked how long was the procedure and the nurse said about 15 to 20 minutes I about flipped out. I was thinking out lound two days of hell for 15 minutes! You gotta be kidding me! Then the one main reason I wanted Dennis with me was I hate getting iv's put in, so I wanted him to hold my other hand and talk to me while the nurse was doing it. NOPE, they had us in a nice room with comfy recliners and he was more into how comfortable the chair was and the newspaper. Oh, it is such love............
I was amazed though how smooth everything went. I remember telling the nurse I was really nervous and then the next thing I know I was in recovery.
Dennis was nice and took me out for breakfast and brought me home to sleep away the afternoon and then for dinner he made a nice steak dinner. I guess I will forgive him for not holding my hand.
Thanks to all who tried to keep my spirits up and all the support. I really appreciate it. Kara you really made me realize that I needed to not chicken out. Your comments hit home.
