Spring has sprung

Spring has finally sprung here and Arizona the temps during the day are in the 60's & 70's. So today after Church we decided to wash vehicles do some yard work and have a BBQ. Justin and Keirstan had Tiffany and Tyler come over and join us for dinner and to play games.

Lorens big news is he purchased his very own car a 1990 Cadillac. He is so happy to have his own vehicle now. He has been doing very well with his health and has now started attending some events at the senior center too and making friends. I think having his own vehicle will now give him some more Independence and a feeling of doing things for himself and not feeling like he needs to rely on someone else.Loren with his new car

Baseball season has also started and Justin is playing for his high school. The Tigers had their first game last week and started out the season with a win. Tiffany Justin's girlfriend plays softball and her team also started out with a win. Grandpa Loren loves to attend both the baseball and softball games. Keirstan's Boyfriend Tyler plays baseball as well but for the other school here in town, so that really keeps Grandpa busy in the afternoons attending all those games when they are home.

Dennis and Justin have signed up to play on the Church softball team as well. Dennis is so excited!!! He has not played softball for a few years now, we think since he had his accident and had broken his leg. The Church league has declared Grandpa Loren honorary bat boy.

This week is the last week of school for the kids before they begin their spring break. They both said that they are so ready for some time off from school. I said "heck, before you know it summer break will be here!"
