It has become a tradition for the kids school that the 8th grade math students create a boat out of only cardboard and duct tape. There are 2 to 3 in a group and they have to design a boat and then the final step has become a BIG spectator sport that they take their creations over to the pool and they race them across the pool in groups of three boats at a time. The first boat out of each group that crosses the finish line first goes on th the final round.
Here is some photos of Keirstan and her two friends that helped her with the boat project.

Lindsay, Keirstans team mate paddling to the finish line. Out of the 3 boats hers came in 2nd. Needed more paddles or muscles. Good job though girls! It was very fun to watch.
Thought I would share a few photos from 2 years back when Justin did his boat when he was in 8th grade. Justins boat was called the party barge.
I think the girls boat was cute!
One more week of school for us! The kids are getting excited. Keirstan has her 8th grade graduation on Wednesday night. It is so hard to believe that I am now going to have both of my kids in high school! AACCKKK where does the time go?
This weekend Dennis and I are going to get our surround sound setup on our new t.v. and just relax and enjoy the weekend. This week Dennis came home with a nice surprise, a 50" plasma t..v. I am so excited to watch a movie with the surround sound and also a NASCAR race.

We have been so busy lately with end of the school year events and Keirstans Birthday and then there is always something going on for Dennis at Pepsi. A weekend of relaxation is in store for the two of us : )
