Seasons are changing

This past weekend finally felt like fall here. My favorite time of year! I love it when it finally starts to cool off. This is the time of the year here when it really reminds me of Minnesota. I can actually enjoy the cool weather and enjoy spending some time outside without getting too hot or a sunburn. I had a goodtime on Saturday going through all my fall and halloween decorations. Of course I also got to hear the usual groan from my husband when I asked him to retrieve my holiday totes from the attic. (hehe) We wouldn't want him to break the tradition of changing of seasons/holidays. I love getting into the holidays and decorating. I did feel a little sad though, I don't have my little trick or treaters getting all excited and talking about what they want to be for halloween. Some how they have grownup and are now young adults. When Justin got back on Sunday from his trip up in the mountains with friends and I asked him if he saw the yard decorated and if he liked it, his comment was "yeah, haha Dad had to go up in the attic."
Today I had yet another visit to the Doctor, it was back to the internal medicine Doctor who did my gallbladder surgery. As some may know I have still been having problems since my surgery on August 13th. Today I was told that it looks like I have Crohns disease. I am having another type of Catscan done on Monday to see if this is a for sure diagnosis.
Crohns disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines. It appears that this may be the case in my small intestines. This would explain a lot of the problems I have been having and why it has been so hard to diagnose my problem. This is a complicated type of condition. There is really no cure for this and surgery is a last resort and doesn't always solve the problem. We will know more next week. We are hoping that if this is the true diagnosis that with medication and diet it will be manageable and I will be able to finally start feeling well again.

The rest of this week is looking pretty busy for us. Justin has a football game in Phoenix on Thursday. Since the game has been changed to Thursday from Friday we are not going to be able to attend. My cousin Ben and his wife Joanna live in the Phoenix area so they are going to try and make the game. The Tigers are still undefeated, lets hope it can stay that way!!!
Keirstan also has a game to cheer for on Thursday her team the Coyotes are also undefeated and playing an undefeated team. It should be a good game to watch!

Have a great week everyone!! Happy fall!!!! Enjoy the beautiful fall colors you Minnesotans ; )
