9/6/08 Is seventeen years of Dennis and I being married. I can't believe that much time has already past. We have done so much and been through so much in the seventeen years we have been together. We have been together as a couple for a little over twenty years. We are high school sweethearts. Its been so amazing the time that we have spent together. I can't imagine spending the last seventeen years with anybody else. We are best friends besides being husband and wife.
Major milestones in our life together has been:
9/6/91 Our lives began as husband and wife.
12/29/92 We became Parents for the first time to a happy little boy
5/23/95 We became Parents again to a beautiful little girl
8/26/96 We set out on an adventure to build our home and a life together in Arizona
Many other happy and sad events have occurred in our life together and we have stood strong through it all. A song by Shania Twain "Your still the one" has been our song that says so much about us. So many said we wouldn't make it but look at us now.
To acknowledge our anniversary we are going to plant a tree or a rose bush in our yard. Then for the main event of the night we are going to be proud parents and watch our son take the football field for the first time this season. We are so excited to watch him play.
I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the night of our anniversary than cheering on our son.

Thanks so much Kara. You know I kinda "blame" you for this marriage. : o ) Your the one that got us to dance together at one of those lunchroom dances. Thanks!! No seriously, it's been a journey but I wouldn't change I thing.
Congrats on your anniversary! What's really weird (not related to your anniversary) but it caught my eye in your blog is that I too moved to Arizona (Scottsdale) that exact same week/year as you did!! How strange is that?
